I am so glad that you are here!
My approach to therapy is systemic and evidence-based. I support my clients in understanding themselves and their relationships through the lens of attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Together, we work towards the development and maintenance of healthy relationships- both with self and others. My clients consistently report an increased understanding of self and increased relational satisfaction as a result of our work together.
My approach to couple therapy is influenced by the work of The Gottman Institute and by Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. Through the understanding of attachment and its influence upon our communication styles/methods of self-protection, we develop compassion for both ourselves and our partners- allowing us to break free from the negative cycles that keep us stuck.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a humanistic, evidence-based approach to psychotherapy, drawing primarily from attachment theory to facilitate the creation of secure, vibrant connection with self and others. Rooted in the science of emotions and attachment, EFT helps clients identify and transform the negative processing and interaction patterns that create distress. It’s effective in treating individuals (EFIT), couples (EFCT), and families (EFFT), addressing a wide range of issues from marital distress to individual anxiety and trauma (iceeft.com)
